This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyze, and document both business and functional requirements with a strong emphasis on LMS workflows.
• Convert requirements into clearly defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items within Azure DevOps.
• Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Assist in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Confirm that requirements align with laboratory workflows, compliance needs, and data integrity standards.
• Collaborate with QA to assist in the development of test cases and validate user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement within LMS implementations.
• Maintain documentation such as process flows, use cases, and system diagrams.
• Collect and document comprehensive platform requirements, including LMS systems, third-party integrations, and instrumentation interfaces.
• Support requirements for cloud-hosted environments, addressing user access models (SSO, roles, permissions), environment strategy (Dev / Test / Prod), and workflows for releases and upgrades.
• Define and document integration requirements, including APIs (REST, HL7, FHIR where applicable) and data exchange formats and workflows.
• Map end-to-end data flows across systems, ensuring traceability from instruments to systems and external interfaces.
• Identify and document system dependencies and constraints across platforms.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to ensure alignment on system design, scalability, and performance considerations.
• Support validation and compliance requirements in cloud and integrated environments (e.g., audit trails, data integrity, Part 11 considerations).
• Contribute to release planning and readiness assessments, ensuring that dependencies are captured and managed.
• A bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Strong background in requirements elicitation and stakeholder management.
• Proven capability to write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, backlog management, user stories).
• Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS/LMS).
• Direct experience in a laboratory environment (clinical, diagnostic, or research).
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.
