This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Take ownership of the BA workstream by leading discovery initiatives, defining problems, and overseeing the product backlog across short, medium, and long-term timelines.
• Compose, enhance, and verify user stories along with clear acceptance criteria while promoting a culture of Continuous Discovery.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to the Product Owner, stepping in as the acting PO to prioritize use cases and direct solution paths when required.
• Independently design and facilitate workshops for requirements, design conferences, and process reviews.
• Manage intricate, multi-tiered stakeholder relationships within client and delivery organizations, including technical, financial, and executive sponsors.
• Proactively communicate updates, changes in scope, and risks to foster client confidence through dependable, outcome-oriented engagement.
• Create and maintain thorough documentation, such as BRDs, FSDs, user stories, and BPMN-aligned As-Is/To-Be process models.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to specify data requirements, source systems, and transformation logic.
• Curate the squad’s knowledge repository, playbooks, and reusable assets to ensure consistent delivery standards.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and perform ad-hoc functional testing to confirm that features meet requirements and minimize late-cycle rework.
• Actively engage in and facilitate essential Agile scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives) while continuously enhancing the squad's operational rhythm.
• Manage defect resolution, aggregate stakeholder feedback, and obtain final client approval.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to monitor KPIs, assess delivery against business outcomes, and structure sprint reviews around the tangible value delivered.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy to navigate scope challenges, proposing constructive solutions instead of merely escalating issues.
• Mentor junior BAs and significantly contribute to the broader BA community by enhancing standards, templates, and methodologies.
• A minimum of 2 years of BA experience, including at least 1 year in agile squad environments.
• Business Analysis certifications from recognized bodies (IIBA, PMI, etc.).
• Demonstrated success in executing the complete requirements lifecycle, from discovery to UAT, on complex, multi-stakeholder client projects.
• Capability to convert company goals and objectives into actionable roadmaps for digital transformation.
• Excellent written communication along with strong technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Effective planning and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps or similar backlog management tools; experience with Jira, Confluence, Notion, or Miro for documentation and facilitation.
• Background in data, analytics, or enterprise systems environments (e.g., SAP, cloud data platforms, BI/analytics dashboards).
