This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Spearhead the creation of reference architecture for integrated building systems within data center facilities.
• Convert customer requirements into scalable, well-documented solution designs with specified integration pathways.
• Suggest system architectures that align with operational efficiency, energy optimization, security, and life safety controls.
• Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, and integration needs for significant data center projects.
• Facilitate technical discovery sessions to uncover customer challenges, objectives, existing environments, operational workflows, and regional specifications.
• Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the customer journey, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Provide technical leadership during pre-sales engagements without direct quota responsibilities.
• Craft tailored solutions that meet customer requirements and business goals.
• Conduct customized product demonstrations that showcase solution value and ROI.
• Lead architectural discussions, assess feasibility, address technical objections, and translate technical features into business advantages.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of data center design principles, including uptime, redundancy, resilience, and operational continuity.
• Examine customer specifications and single-line diagrams to deliver optimized, cost-effective solutions.
• Support product lifecycle management and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Represent the technical value in customer presentations, design reviews, and industry forums.
• Stay informed about developments and drivers in the data center sector, including cooling and energy efficiency.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in Data Center application engineering, solution proposal, or solution consulting, or 5 years in Data Center Facility Management Leadership along with 3 years of experience designing building systems in data center settings.
• Strong knowledge of data center building systems, controls, and integration technologies.
• Familiarity with smart building ecosystems.
• Demonstrated ability to convert customer needs into technical solutions.
• Capacity to analyze technical specifications and suggest cost-effective alternatives.
• Business insight to link technical solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent storytelling and presentation skills for engaging customers.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Eagerness to learn configuration and pricing tools.
• Ability to identify market opportunities and spearhead innovation initiatives.
• Experience influencing product strategy or standardization efforts.
• Willingness to travel 25% to 50% to domestic and international client locations.
