
Building Assessor, Field Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
β’ Conduct on-site assessments of facilities and building conditions for multifamily, senior living, educational, commercial, industrial, municipal, and federal/military properties.
β’ Gather data on building systems, finishes, and site components utilizing company software such as FastField, iAuditor, AkitaBox, or Quire.
β’ Execute asset tagging and inventory processes, labeling MEP equipment with barcodes/QRs and reconciling with client databases.
β’ Capture clear, well-labeled digital images of systems and deficiencies.
β’ Accurately document quantities, serial numbers, dimensions, ages, and condition ratings.
β’ Assist senior assessors and project managers with RSMeans-based cost estimates and capital-planning data spanning 5, 10, and 20 years.
β’ Support the assembly of reports and technical writing as needed.
β’ Comply with all site safety protocols and maintain professional communication with property contacts.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
β’ A minimum of 2 yearsβ experience in building inspection, facility assessment, or a related field.
β’ Strong attention to detail and accuracy in organization.
β’ Basic understanding of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site/civil systems.
β’ Proficient in using tablets, mobile applications, Microsoft Office, and digital photography.
β’ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to work effectively in a team.
β’ A valid driver's license is necessary with no significant MVA points or violations (clean driving record).
