Brand Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee the organization’s project management system using platforms such as Asana, Notion, ClickUp, Monday.com, or comparable tools.

• Decompose company priorities into well-defined weekly tasks, timelines, responsible parties, and deadlines.

• Monitor progress throughout various departments to ensure timely execution of work.

• Detect bottlenecks promptly and advocate for solutions before they escalate into significant issues.

• Foster visibility, responsibility, and operational discipline within the team.

• Conduct daily huddles to maintain the team's focus on the most critical outcomes.

• Facilitate cross-departmental communication to ensure alignment on essential matters.

• Consistently follow up to guarantee that execution is taking place rather than merely discussing it.

• Address internal conflicts, eliminate obstacles, and maintain high momentum.

• Promote a high-output culture and ensure the team performs strongly under your leadership and governance.

• Assist the founder in upholding clarity, structure, accountability, and execution discipline across the organization.

• Closely monitor the brand's direction and growth trajectory.

• Assess the performance of the marketing team in relation to established KPIs.

• Proactively escalate misses, ensure follow-through, and safeguard that critical growth priorities receive the necessary attention.

• Assist in leading AI implementation across teams and identify practical use cases that enhance productivity, output, speed, and quality.

• Support teams in adopting new tools, workflows, and methodologies as the organization becomes more AI-driven.

• Stay updated on relevant AI tools and applications to keep the brand operationally ahead of the competition.

• Assist in developing the new product pipeline and facilitate the transition of initiatives from planning to structured execution.

• Collaborate with external partners and specialists involved in product development and launch readiness.

• Post job openings, conduct interviews, and recruit contractors or consultants as required for launches, including regulatory specialists, patent or legal partners, industrial designers, graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and UGC creators.

• Oversee timelines, communication, and deliverables with contractors and consultants.

• Manage packaging design workflows to ensure assets, revisions, and approvals are processed efficiently.

• Organize testing, feedback collection, revisions, and subsequent steps for samples.

• Ensure products are ready for launch by tracking details, approvals, documentation, and execution across all components.

• Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and other creative vendors necessary for launch execution.

• Ensure all essential details, assets, packaging, documents, and approvals are secured prior to launch.

• Maintain a high standard for detail and completeness to prevent launch delays caused by avoidable issues.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in operations, project management, program management, brand operations, or a similar cross-functional role.

• Experience in a D2C brand, e-commerce, skincare, beauty, wellness, or consumer product company is highly preferred.

• Strong familiarity with project management tools such as Asana, Notion, ClickUp, Monday.com, or similar platforms.

• Proven experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, vendors, timelines, and launch deliverables.

• Experience in supporting multiple product launches, contractor or consultant coordination, or compliance-heavy execution is a significant advantage.

• Experience in enhancing workflows, introducing new systems, or driving the adoption of productivity tools is a considerable plus.
