
Blade Lead Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Oversee contractor teams responsible for repairing GE Vernova blades.
• Conduct blade repairs and inspections at designated laydown yards.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Promote proactive safety measures and perform on-site risk assessments.
• Coordinate responses to safety incidents in collaboration with EHS, Operations, HR, and other GE Vernova departments.
• Supervise or carry out repair procedures to maintain quality standards.
• Confirm checklist completion and procedural compliance.
• Modify repair speed according to job phases and weather conditions.
• Guarantee the availability of parts, tools, materials, procedures, and PPE.
• Facilitate effective communication between site teams and GE Vernova departments.
• Oversee daily operations and evaluate team performance against set targets.
• Directly engage in repair tasks when teams are unable to complete them.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager regarding operations and project execution.
• Act as the primary site liaison for repair teams and provide updates on repair progress.
• Ensure clear and timely communication regarding project status.
• Maintain up-to-date technician-equivalent training and certifications.
• Keep precise records of site activities and progress.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and Smartsheet for reporting and coordination purposes.
• Maintain daily communication with the GE Vernova Site and Project Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 3 years of experience in blade repairs.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience specifically in blade repairs.
• Willingness and ability to travel between Pawnee and Garden City laydown yards.
• Current training and certifications comparable to those of a regular technician.
• Compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Smartsheet.
• Capability to work independently and effectively lead teams.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and conditions.
• Deep commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
