• Drive the execution of sales across a multi-state territory in collaboration with Territory Managers to meet or surpass revenue and profitability goals for the Upstream product portfolio.
• Promote and market a range of upstream process solutions, effectively conveying the product's unique features and value proposition within the framework of customer bioprocessing workflows.
• Develop and implement a regional business strategy in partnership with the Regional Sales Director and VP of Sales Development, aligning the commercial strategy with growth objectives.
• Lead commercial discussions with technical, procurement, and planning stakeholders to secure business opportunities and enhance account penetration.
• Establish, nurture, and expand strategic relationships with key accounts, acting as a trusted commercial and technical advisor.
• Identify, cultivate, and convert new target accounts throughout the territory, increasing market presence and sales pipeline.
• Assist customers throughout the entire development lifecycle, from lab-scale feasibility to clinical and commercial manufacturing scale-up.
• Maintain precise and timely forecasting and sales reporting utilizing a CRM platform to ensure visibility of pipeline health and performance metrics.
• Serve as the voice of the customer and market within the organization, ensuring that insights are effectively communicated to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Market Development teams to share competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer feedback in a structured, actionable manner.
• Aid in the development of sales tools and materials to facilitate consistent and effective field execution.
• Carry out comprehensive field sales responsibilities, including customer visits, technical and commercial presentations, and laboratory or on-site demonstrations as appropriate.
• Oversee participation in trade shows and industry events, encompassing pre-event planning, on-site execution, and structured follow-up after the event.
• A minimum of a BSc degree in a relevant scientific field.
• 5–10+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences sector, with significant expertise in upstream processing.
• A comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end bioprocessing workflow is crucial.
• Practical experience with perfusion and/or upstream intensification technologies is required; familiarity with XCell ATF systems is highly preferred.
• A demonstrated history of sales achievements and new business development in a technical or solution-oriented sales environment.
• Proven capability to build and maintain trusted, collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, create accurate forecasts, and support strategic decision-making.
• Experience working in a matrixed commercial organization, closely collaborating with Field Application Scientists, Bioprocessing Account Managers, and Strategic Account Teams to drive customer success and business growth.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the territory as needed.
