This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on intricate biomedical equipment and systems.
• Repair, install, and calibrate sophisticated biomedical equipment and systems.
• Update supervisors regarding the status of repairs, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and any customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with, guide, and document the activities of subcontractors, vendors, and external service technicians.
• Maintain biomedical expertise through continuous training and education.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database.
• Foster and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Conduct periodic assessments of current inventory status.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering setting.
• Advanced computer skills are necessary, including the ability to manage a system, interpret error codes, defragment hard drives, replace power supplies, decode computer codes, and apply networking concepts.
• Capability to synthesize information from a variety of sources.
• A valid driver’s license is required; travel requirements may vary based on the primary site.
• An associate degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
