This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Implement, oversee, and enhance standard data workflows that support bioscientific, genomic, and clinical data processing.
• Load, verify, and evaluate data quality across various data types, ensuring thoroughness, precision, and uniformity.
• Conduct smoke testing and validation during application launches, updates, and changes to pipelines.
• Resolve user, data, and system issues, including failures in workflows, data discrepancies, and concerns regarding application performance.
• Assess application usage, data flow, and system performance through queries, logs, and analytics tools to produce actionable insights.
• Create and refine dashboards, reports, and lightweight automation to enhance visibility into workflows and system health.
• Document processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures, aiding in knowledge sharing and operational scalability.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and scientific teams to triage bugs, clarify requirements, and support enhancements to data workflows and applications.
• Recognize opportunities for optimizing workflows, automation, and improving data management, contributing to implementation initiatives.
• Relay system updates, issues, and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in bioinformatics, computational biology, biomedical informatics, or a related discipline.
• TWO (2) years of experience working with bioscientific, genomic, or clinical data in a research or applied environment.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for data processing, analysis, or workflow support.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, batch processing, and concepts of workflow orchestration.
• Capability to query, analyze, and interpret data using SQL or similar tools.
• Experience in troubleshooting data processing challenges and interpreting system logs or cloud-based monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of data quality principles and best practices for managing sensitive data (e.g., PHI/PII).
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to document processes and explain technical concepts.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must secure approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred.
