This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Collects insurance details from patients.
• Provides guidance on alternative financial assistance options.
• Reviews and updates schedules for new patients as necessary.
• Contacts patients to remind them of their appointment times.
• Processes internal referrals for clinical care from physicians.
• Clarifies the billing process to patients.
• Supports basic account maintenance tasks.
• Assists patients with inquiries related to insurance and the billing process.
• Collaborates with the Relatient system for patient reminders.
• Makes daily adjustments and temporary modifications to provider scheduling templates based on physician feedback.
• Undertakes additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant experience of 3 years.
• Familiarity with billing systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Experience with Epic EHR.
• Knowledge of financial information.
• Understanding of insurance processes.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in medical office support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Office.
• Skilled in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to organize effectively.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Experience in scheduling.
• Knowledge of third-party claims.
