This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +2 more states.
• Provides daily guidance, mentorship, and support to the RCM department.
• Aids the team in addressing complicated claim issues and member escalations, identifies trends, and ensures timely and effective resolutions.
• Suggests and coordinates training opportunities to enhance the skills and knowledge of RCM members.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and participates in operational initiatives.
• Collaborates with both internal and external stakeholders to resolve intricate issues and enhance overall credit/refund performance.
• Establishes efficient communication channels to ensure departmental alignment.
• Actively manages and monitors the escalation queue to guarantee timely task resolutions.
• Analyzes escalation trends and offers real-time and scheduled feedback to team members.
• Provides targeted training and coaching to improve team members’ comprehension of escalation scenarios and best practices.
• Acts as the primary contact for complex or sensitive escalation cases.
• Creates and processes the weekly refund check utility file in line with established timelines and quality standards.
• Assists with all refund reports and projects as required.
• Aids in onboarding and mentoring new team members, reinforcing departmental policies and procedures.
• Provides backup coverage and support to the supervisor or manager when necessary.
• Performs any other duties or projects as assigned.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with a demonstrated record of team development and mentorship.
• 3+ years of experience in revenue cycle management, specifically in collections and/or denial management.
• Strong grasp of healthcare billing principles, insurance claims processing, and reimbursement methodologies.
• Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret data and generate valuable insights.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Eligible for a quarterly bonus.
