Billing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Billing Analyst is responsible for gathering, verifying, and analyzing data to create precise and prompt customer invoices, schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries to support the company's cash flow and revenue.

• This role involves processing (either manually or through a BOT process) and validating monthly invoices for designated business lines by consolidating and reconciling billing information from various sources.

• Monthly invoices are reviewed to ensure that billing activities are accurately recorded to the appropriate revenue accounts, adhering to the revenue recognition policy.

• The position requires collaboration with relationship managers, finance, and IT to ensure billing accuracy and to address any discrepancies that arise.

• Responsibilities include preparing close schedules, accruals, journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations, accounting activity reconciliations, and providing audit support to ensure compliance with SOX controls.

• The Analyst will research and address inquiries from relationship Business Partners concerning customer billing.

• Maintenance of a monthly manual aging report on overdue balances is required to help determine the CECL allowance.

• Monthly reconciliations of other accounts receivable balances against supporting documentation will be performed.

• The role demands effective decision-making abilities, utilizing critical thinking to comprehend both short-term and long-term implications.

• Cross-training within the department is expected to provide backup support for team members.

• It is essential to maintain accurate and updated procedures while supporting process improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Accounts Receivable Billing.

• Proficient in advanced Excel skills.

• Familiarity with Netsuite.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Windows 10.

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a dynamic environment with daily and monthly deadlines.

• Previous experience with SOX controls and the capacity to respond promptly and correctly to external auditor inquiries is a significant advantage.

• A highly ethical professional with a strong business sense.

• Meticulous attention to detail while maintaining the ability to meet deadlines.

• Capable of analyzing and resolving issues, providing sound solutions as necessary.

• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
