Revenue Cycle Specialist II – Physician Billing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Provides support for billing and collections related to Commercial and Government Insurance Follow-up and Accounts Receivable.

• Reviews and submits multi-specialty claims to various third-party payors.

• Conducts follow-up activities on accounts and updates patient registration information.

• Investigates, analyzes, and resolves complex cases and challenging accounts with minimal guidance.

• Acts as a technical resource (subject matter expert) for colleagues.

• Efficiently bills, submits appeals, and collects payments pertaining to physician reimbursements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Must possess the ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English.

• At least three years of professional experience in physician billing and/or collections is required – experience with CMS1500 is a plus.

• Possesses expert knowledge of medical terminology and coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, procedure, bill type, diagnosis, and revenue codes).

• Familiarity with MS Office, Web/Vs, Availity, and CS-Link is preferred.

• Capability to perform business mathematics.

• Successful completion of PRMPT 1 is required.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with conflicting demands for time and attention.
