Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct monthly audits of billing, which encompass fee calculations, troubleshooting accounts, and processing adjustments.

• Assess and manage client accounts and household structures to guarantee precise fee schedule assignments.

• Collaborate with advisors and internal stakeholders to refresh and uphold billing instructions, ensuring they align with client agreements.

• Reconcile results from direct debit transactions to ensure prompt and accurate fee collection.

• Address billing-related inquiries from advisors and Client Service teams promptly and professionally.

• Work alongside Trading and Client Service teams to confirm adequate account liquidity for billing debits.

• Actively monitor, manage, and follow up on outstanding, failed, or rejected fee transactions.

• Investigate the root causes of failed collections and coordinate appropriate resolutions.

• Collaborate with advisors, Client Service, and Trading teams to facilitate collections, including funding accounts, re-processing fees, or adjusting client billing setups.

• Maintain comprehensive records of collection efforts and outstanding balances; provide regular updates on aged receivables and collection status.

• Identify patterns in collection challenges and propose process enhancements to minimize failed or delayed billing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.

• Understanding of portfolio accounting and concepts related to client performance reporting.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a particular emphasis on Excel.

• Experience with integrated financial systems and billing platforms.

• Familiarity with Orion is strongly preferred.

• Experience with Salesforce is strongly preferred.

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with advisors and cross-functional teams.
