Billing Specialist I – Revenue Cycle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Oversee the processes involved in converting services to payments, which includes managing denials, handling non-responses, addressing service errors, and processing authorizations and eligibility.

• Confirm insurance coverage and eligibility for all patients through online platforms or phone communications.

• Update patient accounts with accurate insurance details.

• Ensure precise documentation of patient demographic information.

• Identify pre-authorization needs and secure necessary approvals for scheduled procedures.

• Receive and record client payments.

• Reach out to patients and clinical programs to gather additional insurance data.

• Track and finalize daily fax requests.

• Relay insurance and significant updates to relevant staff members.

• Achieve set production targets.

• Conduct standard billing, accounting, and administrative duties under close supervision while adhering to internal controls and procedures.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and staff.

• High School diploma or equivalent qualification.

• No prior experience is necessary.

• Preferred: One year of experience in a billing office.

• Familiarity with insurance billing terminology.

• Attention to detail.

• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
