Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Executes the daily functions of physician laboratory billing.

• Skilled in data analysis and Excel functionalities necessary for trend analysis and managing exceptions effectively.

• Undertakes tasks in NextGen EPM, Athena EPM, and Orchard LIS, including but not limited to file maintenance and task management across all three systems.

• Create and analyze reports from diverse data sources to facilitate the management of physician laboratory billing.

• Oversee claims processing and accounts receivable to ensure prompt and accurate transaction handling.

• Address emails and tasks daily.

• Collaborate closely with all departments to gather information that maximizes filing, re-filing, and collection of all outstanding accounts.

• Support problem-solving initiatives and process enhancements.

• Effectively utilize available resources and seek guidance when procedures are unclear.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in physician office or laboratory billing.

• Familiarity with NextGen EMR Practice Management.

• Experience with Athena EMR and/or Orchard LIS is advantageous but not mandatory.
