This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Prepare and submit precise medical claims to insurance payers promptly.

• Review billing details for errors, inconsistencies, and compliance with payer guidelines.

• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely resolution and payment.

• Maintain accurate patient billing records and update invoices as necessary.

• Effectively communicate with insurance providers, patients, and internal teams to clarify billing issues.

• Apply payer-specific billing regulations and stay updated with industry standards and coding practices.

• Assist in reconciling payments and resolving discrepancies in billing accounts.

• Support the billing department in enhancing processes to boost efficiency and minimize claim denials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management.

• Knowledge of medical billing codes, insurance claim submission procedures, and payer requirements.

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in billing and claims.

• Excellent communication skills for interactions with patients, providers, and insurance companies.

• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and work independently in a remote environment.

• Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records is advantageous.

• Understanding of compliance regulations pertinent to healthcare billing.

• US billing experience is preferred.
