This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee daily billing operations, which include charge capture, claim submission, work queue management, and ensuring billing accuracy.
• Implement process enhancements to improve the clean claim rate, minimize rework, and expedite reimbursement timelines.
• Collaborate with the Coding, Accounts Receivable, and Denials teams to maintain alignment throughout the revenue cycle and mitigate downstream issues.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as clean claim rates, billing delays, denial rates, and cash conversion metrics.
• Analyze trends and root causes of billing discrepancies, edit failures, and payer denials, while implementing effective long-term solutions.
• Ensure adherence to CMS regulations, payer guidelines, and internal policies across all billing operations.
• Manage and standardize workflows, policies, and procedures to promote consistency and scalability among teams.
• Act as an escalation point for intricate billing issues, payer disputes, and client inquiries.
• Collaborate with Technology and Operations teams to enhance billing systems, automation, and reporting functionalities.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate high-performing teams, encouraging a culture of accountability and ongoing improvement.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred (in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field).
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare billing, revenue cycle management, or related operations.
• Extensive knowledge of professional and/or hospital billing processes, workflows, and payer requirements.
• Proven track record of enhancing billing performance metrics and boosting operational efficiency.
• Experience in overseeing billing operations across multiple sites or clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to utilize data for informed decision-making.
• Demonstrated capability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at every level.
