Director – Distribution

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver market insights regarding bolt-on targets, the competitive landscape, and valuation context within your specific subsector.

• Facilitate introductions to founders, family owners, and senior executives within your established network.

• Analyze confidential information memoranda and management presentations to assess sector-specific operational compatibility and risks.

• Engage in private equity sponsor pitches when your subsector expertise and operational background are applicable.

• Offer operational due diligence insights on target companies.

• Counsel the Fireclay team on positioning and messaging strategies for sponsor outreach and sourcing initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a Regional VP, SVP, President, or CEO at a prominent distributor or a private equity-backed distribution platform.

• A minimum of fifteen years in distribution, possessing direct branch-level P&L and integration experience.

• Knowledgeable in inventory turnover economics, vendor consolidation dynamics, and operational strategies in branch network consolidation.

• An established network of relationships with founders, family owners, senior executives, and private equity professionals within your subsector.

• Ability to represent Fireclay with professionalism to private equity sponsors and target company management.

• Must exercise discretion when dealing with non-public information and competitive intelligence.

• Willingness to operate on a flexible per engagement basis without fixed hours or commitments.
