Senior Director, Innovative Statistics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Offer strategic guidance on client initiatives, collaborating closely with Strategic Consultants and Analysts to establish optimal regulatory, clinical, and/or market access strategies.

• Create innovative, customized solutions by integrating established methodologies with new statistical and analytical techniques.

• Oversee designated Strategic Consulting accounts and projects, acting as the primary client liaison for consulting activities.

• Foster trusted, long-term relationships with clients and take charge of their strategic requirements.

• Contribute to Cytel’s thought leadership in statistical methodology and clinical development strategies.

• Identify, cultivate, and pursue new business opportunities within Strategic Consulting and across Cytel’s wider business units.

• Recognize emerging client demands and develop solutions that drive revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

• Represent Cytel to external stakeholders, enhancing brand recognition and solidifying the company’s status as an industry frontrunner.

• Travel frequently and engage directly with senior management and executive-level stakeholders at both prospective and existing clients.

• Establish and utilize strong relationships across internal teams and external client organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical R&D process, coupled with robust business acumen and awareness of broader industry challenges.

• Strong statistical knowledge, with a background in areas such as adaptive designs, clinical development, data science, regulatory strategy, or model-informed drug development.

• Strategic mindset with a global perspective, possessing strong analytical skills and the capability to resolve complex issues.

• At ease engaging with and presenting to senior executives and decision-makers.

• Experience in interactions with regulatory bodies such as the FDA and EMA, as well as with key opinion leaders, to enhance clinical development plans.

• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, including the ability to build, mentor, and inspire teams of consultants and analysts.

• Collaborative, entrepreneurial, and self-driven, with the capacity to excel in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Master’s degree in Mathematics, Biostatistics, or a related discipline required; PhD is preferred.

• MBA, MD, or other advanced degrees are highly desirable.

• 10–15 years of experience in clinical trials, health research, or a related field.
