This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver diabetes education support to patients aimed at enhancing adherence and health outcomes.
• Rapidly build rapport and therapeutic relationships via phone with a varied patient demographic.
• Facilitate behavior change among patients by employing motivational interviewing techniques.
• Conduct online webinars.
• Regularly achieve call metrics while also fulfilling quality standards.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Must possess a current certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE).
• Proficiency in Spanish is required.
• Demonstrated experience in using motivational interviewing to encourage positive behavior change.
• Proven capability to accept constructive criticism and integrate it into patient interactions to enhance performance.
• Must have a dedicated home office for private patient conversations along with high-speed internet access.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Comfort with advanced technology (Electronic Medical Records, Microsoft Office, scripting applications, device data, etc.) is essential.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying patient needs and adapting communication strategies to effectively serve a diverse patient population.
• Must have a flexible schedule and be available for a minimum of 20 hours per week to meet patient needs.
