Bilingual Spanish – BH Counselor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct regular video and/or phone appointments with clients who are seeking mental health support.

• Build positive and trusting relationships with clients.

• Screen and evaluate patients for prevalent mental health and substance use disorders utilizing evidence-based tools.

• Provide education to patients regarding mental health and substance use disorders, along with evidence-based treatment options.

• Implement treatments and protocols employing evidence-based techniques.

• Continuously evaluate client situations and offer ongoing treatment.

• Educate and involve family members or loved ones in the treatment process when necessary.

• Collaborate with plans and community resources to make referrals to external sources or agencies.

• Coordinate care following acute events, including emergency department visits or inpatient admissions.

• Work with the patient’s care plan team to guarantee holistic care.

• Uphold strict confidentiality regarding client situations.

• Maintain necessary licenses and appropriate insurance.

• Engage in assigned clinical team meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• LCSW, LPC, or LMFT qualification.

• Currently holds an unrestricted license in New York.

• Independent license to practice.

• Minimum of 2 years of therapy experience.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, with the ability to pass language testing.

• Experience in population management.

• Capability to practice in the New York office.

• Must already possess an independent practice license in New York.

• Reliable home internet connection via cable broadband or fiber optic service, with a minimum of 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speed.
