This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Provide coverage for vacation, sick leave, and temporary absences of Care Navigators across various Patient Support Programs (PSPs).
• Ensure the continuity of patient care during coverage intervals, which includes timely follow-up, documentation, reimbursement activities, and compliance with program-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Quickly acquire and implement knowledge of diverse program workflows, escalation procedures, client expectations, and reporting obligations.
• Assist PSP leadership by pinpointing process deficiencies, reimbursement trends, coverage challenges, and opportunities to enhance consistency across programs.
• Aid in onboarding, knowledge transfer, or providing temporary workflow support when programs require additional experienced Care Navigator resources.
• Work collaboratively with patients, insurers, healthcare providers, pharmacies, infusion, or injection service suppliers, and internal PSP teams to address reimbursement and access challenges.
• Serve as a contact point for patient-related matters within the PSP when delivering assigned coverage or project assistance.
• Ensure accurate and timely management of patient, clinic, and program data within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of patient, client, and corporate information, discussing it only with authorized personnel.
• A post-secondary education in healthcare, life sciences, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of direct experience in immunology Patient Support Programs is required.
• Proven experience in supporting reimbursement across multiple Canadian provinces is necessary.
• Extensive reimbursement knowledge is required, including coordination with private insurance, provincial public coverage, special authorization processes, appeals, payer follow-up, and pathways for patient financial assistance.
• Advanced understanding of public and private reimbursement frameworks, payer systems, documentation requirements, and province-specific reimbursement procedures is essential.
• The ability to quickly learn and implement program-specific requirements while providing short-term coverage, project support, and operational continuity across various PSPs is crucial.
• Must be capable of working from home and have a quiet, private office space.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution sector is necessary.
• Exceptional customer service, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities are essential.
