This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage, track, and coordinate patient referrals to guarantee timely appointment scheduling.
• Arrange appointments for primary care providers, dental, vision, specialists, and transportation services for patients.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and verify the patient’s in-network primary care provider.
• Oversee Release of Information (ROI) and Authorized Representative (AR) requests.
• Ensure accurate documentation of communications and referral activities within internal systems.
• Work collaboratively with care team members to promote continuity of care and deliver high-quality patient experiences.
• Participate in ongoing process enhancements for referral workflows and scheduling efficiency.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• More than 1 year of experience in healthcare operations or administrative roles within a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Previous experience as a Referral Coordinator, Medical Assistant, or in Healthcare Appointment Scheduling is preferred.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail, with experience in managing multiple tasks and systems concurrently.
• Comfortable navigating insurance portals and verifying eligibility or provider information.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
• Proficient in Google Suite, Slack, and data tools such as Looker or similar platforms.
• A dependable, HIPAA-compliant workspace with a stable internet connection.
• A dedication to enhancing healthcare access for underserved communities.
• Must reside in the United States and work during PST hours.
• Employment eligibility verification through E-Verify is required.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check, including criminal history and reference checks; driving records if vehicle use is necessary.
