This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Organize patient appointments and oversee provider schedules.
• Make follow-up calls to patients regarding their appointments, care plans, and outstanding requirements.
• Respond to patient inquiries professionally via phone and other communication methods.
• Deliver outstanding patient service while ensuring a positive experience for patients.
• Manage appointment reminders and communications with patients.
• Verify patients' insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Handle prior authorization requests.
• Assist with requests for medication refills.
• Keep precise patient records and documentation in the EMR system.
• Utilize medical terminology and basic coding knowledge to facilitate daily administrative processes.
• Ensure the accurate and confidential maintenance of patient information.
• Employ the ICANotes EMR system to aid in daily patient coordination.
• Provide both front-end and back-end administrative support.
• Work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to ensure effective patient care.
• Assist with operational initiatives as the practice continues to expand.
• Help manage communication through email, phone, and messaging platforms.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or medical administrative environment is essential.
• Experience as a Patient Care Coordinator, Medical Receptionist, Medical Administrative Assistant, Healthcare Virtual Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, or a similar role is required.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and patient coordination is necessary.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic coding is a must.
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations is needed.
• Familiarity with handling patient follow-up calls and scheduling appointments.
• Comfortable managing medication refill requests and general healthcare administrative duties.
• Excellent phone etiquette and strong communication skills with patients are required.
• Keen attention to detail with the capability to manage multiple priorities.
• Preferred experience with: ICANotes EMR, Ooma phone system, Viber, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English are required.
• Fluency in English and Spanish or French is advantageous.
• Professional, courteous, and patient-focused communication style is essential.
• Comfortable engaging with patients, providers, pharmacies, and healthcare staff.
