This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Honduras.
• Manage patient calls and messages, identifying urgent issues and escalating cases as necessary.
• Assist providers with patient follow-ups, medication oversight, and care coordination.
• Relay laboratory results, prescriptions, and treatment guidelines under the direction of providers.
• Offer compassionate and professional assistance throughout the patient care experience.
• Document patient interactions, medical histories, and provider notes with accuracy.
• Keep electronic medical records (EMRs) complete and up-to-date.
• Ensure that documentation complies with clinical, legal, and organizational requirements.
• Prepare precise patient information for clinical review to assist providers.
• Organize appointment scheduling and coordinate patient follow-ups.
• Aid in managing referrals and facilitating communication between providers, patients, and external healthcare partners.
• Support administrative processes, billing coordination, and report preparation as required.
• Maintain orderly patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist providers with daily clinical and operational tasks.
• Uphold confidentiality when dealing with protected health information.
• Contribute to effective workflow management and enhance patient satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• At least 2+ years of clinical experience in hospitals, clinics, medical offices, or healthcare organizations.
• Valid Medical Assistant license or equivalent clinical certification is required.
• Registered Nurses (RN) or Medical Doctors (MD) are highly preferred candidates.
• Resume must clearly reflect current licensing or certification status.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and patient care standards.
• Experience in performing patient triage and urgency assessments.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR) systems is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
• Advanced proficiency in English (C1) is mandatory.
• Strong organizational abilities and exceptional attention to detail.
• Must be comfortable working remotely during U.S. business hours.
