This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +5 more countries.
β’ Oversee the process of insurance prior authorizations from initial submission to final approval, including meticulous tracking, follow-ups, and managing complex reconstructive cases.
β’ Confirm insurance eligibility, assess out-of-network benefits, procedure codes, and coverage requirements.
β’ Coordinate appointment scheduling and ModMed tasks, ensuring precise documentation and prompt follow-up.
β’ Offer virtual scribing assistance during patient examinations, including video support as necessary.
β’ Address rollover calls, respond to patient inquiries, manage insurance-related issues, and handle other patient communications.
β’ Manage incoming lead calls, evaluate prospective patients, and convert suitable inquiries into scheduled appointments.
β’ Provide backup for front-office and virtual receptionist duties, including scheduling assistance and routing questions or concerns post-procedure.
β’ Deliver light sales assistance for aesthetic services, skincare products, HydraFacial, Fem Power, wellness services, and other offerings of the practice.
β’ Identify avenues to boost appointment bookings and enhance practice revenue while prioritizing a patient-centered approach.
β’ Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless communication and continuity in patient care.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare administration or as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
β’ Proficient in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate medical information and terminology clearly.
β’ Direct experience with ModMed EMR is essential.
β’ Extensive experience with insurance prior authorizations, including tracking and follow-up processes.
β’ Experience in verifying insurance benefits, out-of-network coverage, and understanding procedure codes.
β’ Proven capability to provide virtual medical scribing support and accurately document interactions between patients and providers.
β’ Strong background in patient communication, appointment scheduling, and medical front-office operations.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating a professional and patient-focused demeanor.
β’ Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in relation to insurance, scheduling, and addressing patient concerns.
β’ Comfortable with lead conversion, sales, and appropriate upselling discussions in a healthcare context.
β’ Experience in plastic surgery, reconstructive surgery, aesthetics, dermatology, or a similar specialty is highly preferred.
β’ Must be proactive, organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a remote setting.
β’ Must possess clear and professional spoken and written English skills.
β’ Must have relevant work experience.
β’ Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance prior to onboarding (mandatory).
β’ Must be available for video meetings with the camera on when necessary.
β’ A reliable laptop or desktop computer is required.
β’ A stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps) is necessary.
β’ A noise-canceling headset is required.
β’ A working webcam for virtual meetings is essential.
β’ A quiet and professional work environment is mandatory.
