This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Record patient consultations and procedures in real-time during appointments.
• Prepare and assess medical charts prior to and following patient visits.
• Accurately document patient histories, examination findings, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
• Structure documentation utilizing SOAP notes and provider-specific templates within EMR/EHR systems.
• Keep medical records precise and well-organized.
• Facilitate provider follow-ups and enhance patient communication processes.
• Assist with orders, updates to documentation, clinical coordination, and administrative follow-through tasks.
• Confirm prescriptions and initiate prior authorizations when necessary.
• Coordinate documentation efforts with healthcare providers and clinical staff.
• Aid in maintaining efficient patient flow and enhancing provider productivity.
• Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure strict patient confidentiality.
• Guarantee that all medical documentation is accurate, complete, and ready for audit.
• Adhere to provider documentation standards and clinical workflows.
• Remain informed about medical terminology and best practices in healthcare documentation.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (both spoken and written) — REQUIRED.
• English proficiency level: C1 or above is essential.
• At least 6 months of experience as a Medical scribe, Dental scribe, or Clinical documentation specialist for healthcare providers in the U.S.
• Graduate of an allied medical program is strongly preferred: MD, DMD, RN, or a similar healthcare-related field.
• Minimum typing speed of 70+ words per minute.
• Strong grasp of medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, SOAP note formatting, and healthcare workflows.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Intermediate skills in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Capacity to multitask and work effectively in dynamic clinical settings.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
