Bilingual Dutch STEM Expert – AI Safety

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Create advanced prompts in Netherlands Dutch covering specialized scientific areas.

• Assess and annotate model outputs for scientific validity, usefulness, and appropriate management of sensitive materials.

• Utilize structured guidelines for classifying prompts and discussions.

• Contribute to enhancing the safety of advanced AI models.

• Leverage scientific expertise to assess and improve AI models' handling of specialized technical subjects in Dutch.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related discipline, either ongoing or completed.

• Native or near-native proficiency in Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands.

• Business-level proficiency in written English.

• Currently residing in the Netherlands.

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary laboratory and computational methods in the relevant subfield.

• Good judgment regarding scientific safety and responsible management of dual-use information.

• Ability to write prompts across chemical, biological, or radiological and nuclear topics.

• Background in radiological and nuclear fields from a chemistry perspective is advantageous, including areas such as radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, energetic materials, or radiation physics.

• Proven expertise in a specific subfield such as organic or inorganic synthesis, molecular biology, microbiology, virology, or genetics.

• Research or academic experience related to chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous materials management.

• Experience in reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical materials is a plus.

• Engagement as an independent contractor.

• Currently unable to support H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
