This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.
• Provide strategic leadership and direction for Operations.
• Identify, advocate for, and guide franchisees on emerging operational trends by utilizing next-generation equipment and technology.
• Drive operations strategy to achieve high return on investment models that enhance long-term labor efficiency, reduce operating costs, and create a compelling and distinctive consumer experience both on and off premises, as well as digitally.
• Collaborate with cross-functional peers to facilitate regional activation and implementation of new operating platforms and initiatives.
• Offer thought leadership on integrating kitchen automation and AI-driven operating systems to achieve significant efficiency gains.
• Assist in reviewing current operating practices, key roles, and responsibilities to optimize organizational structure and redefine Operations' engagement with franchisees, shifting from tactical support to leading strategic transformation.
• Foster effective relationships with all members of the international team, franchisees, and vendors.
• Work closely with International regional leaders to identify emerging brands and operational best practices to cultivate leading operational expertise.
• Present information, strategies, and concepts to cross-functional leaders, franchisees, and professional organizations in a way that motivates action and meets established regional and corporate objectives while supporting our One China initiatives.
• Represent Operations’ interests and input during interactions with functional leaders in Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, R&D, Training, Development, and CSS.
• Establish strong, transparent relationships with leaders at all levels within IDQ, influencing their perspectives on the achievability of their goals as they relate to regional and international Operations while ensuring operational impacts and complexities are taken into account.
• Oversee and monitor the consistent execution and delivery of company strategies to assigned franchisees, ensuring compliance with food safety, approved products, procedures, menu standards, trademark protection, and ADQ standards.
• B.A. or B.S. Degree in Business or a related field; MBA preferred, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience, ideally in Operations, Marketing, or a related field within QSR, Fast Casual, or Full-Service restaurants.
• Experience working within a franchisor organization, preferably with a QSR brand.
• Familiarity with a sub-franchisee model market, particularly in optimizing support for high growth development in China.
• Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships in a franchisor/franchisee environment.
• Experience effectively managing professional-level Operations staff.
• Demonstrated capacity to work within diverse cultures, manage across global time zones, and lead geographically dispersed teams effectively.
• Experience in utilizing kitchen automation and AI-enabled operating systems to drive significant efficiency improvements.
• Solid understanding of applications in the restaurant industry (QSR preferred) and of restaurant operations.
• Proficient in finance, training, and development.
• Verbal, written, and reading fluency in both English and Mandarin is required.
• Willingness to travel internationally without restrictions, approximately 30% of the time.
