This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
β’ Facilitate communication among patients, families, healthcare providers, caregivers, and internal teams.
β’ Organize appointments and follow-up visits while assisting with daily patient coordination.
β’ Ensure accurate patient data and documentation are maintained in EHR/EMR systems.
β’ Manage incoming and outgoing patient calls, emails, and follow-ups.
β’ Process referrals and support insurance eligibility verification and prior authorizations as necessary.
β’ Conduct patient follow-ups and assist in resolving scheduling, documentation, or service-related issues.
β’ Coordinate with home care services, medical equipment suppliers, and other healthcare resources when required.
β’ Escalate urgent patient issues, service delays, or care gaps to the relevant team.
β’ Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times.
β’ Previous experience in supporting a U.S.-based healthcare organization or medical practice.
β’ Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
β’ Experience in patient coordination, medical administration, scheduling, intake, or similar healthcare support roles.
β’ Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems and healthcare documentation practices.
β’ Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality principles.
β’ Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Ability to handle multiple patients, tasks, and follow-ups concurrently.
β’ Reliable computer, internet connection, and remote working environment.
β’ Nice to have: Prior experience as a Patient Coordinator, Care Coordinator, Intake Coordinator, Home Care Coordinator, or Medical VA.
β’ Nice to have: Experience in U.S. home health or home care settings.
β’ Nice to have: Background in insurance verification or prior authorization processes.
β’ Nice to have: Familiarity with HHAeXchange, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar healthcare systems.
β’ Nice to have: Prior remote work experience with a U.S.-based healthcare team.
