This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.
β’ Facilitate communication among patients, families, healthcare professionals, caregivers, and internal teams.
β’ Organize appointments and follow-up sessions while assisting with daily patient coordination tasks.
β’ Ensure the accuracy of patient information and documentation within EHR/EMR systems.
β’ Manage incoming and outgoing patient calls, emails, and follow-ups.
β’ Process referrals and aid in verifying insurance eligibility and prior authorizations as necessary.
β’ Perform patient follow-ups and assist in resolving scheduling, documentation, or service-related issues.
β’ Collaborate with home care services, medical equipment providers, and other healthcare resources as required.
β’ Elevate urgent patient issues, service delays, or care gaps to the relevant team.
β’ Uphold HIPAA compliance and ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
β’ Prior experience in supporting a U.S.-based healthcare organization or medical practice.
β’ Proficient in both English and Spanish with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
β’ Background in patient coordination, medical administration, scheduling, intake, or related healthcare support roles.
β’ Knowledge of EHR/EMR systems and healthcare documentation processes.
β’ Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
β’ Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Capability to manage multiple patients, tasks, and follow-ups concurrently.
β’ Reliable computer, internet connectivity, and a suitable remote workspace.
β’ Nice to have: Previous experience as a Patient Coordinator, Care Coordinator, Intake Coordinator, Home Care Coordinator, or Medical VA.
β’ Nice to have: Experience in U.S. home health or home care settings.
β’ Nice to have: Background in insurance verification or prior authorization processes.
β’ Nice to have: Familiarity with HHAeXchange, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar healthcare systems.
β’ Nice to have: Prior experience working remotely with a U.S.-based healthcare team.
