Big Data Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create large-scale data solutions utilizing Apache Spark and Scala

• Develop Spark applications using Scala

• Optimize Spark performance

• Troubleshoot Spark jobs through the Spark UI

• Oversee Spark memory management and configurations

• Implement BDD or TDD methodologies when suitable

• Provide support for a banking client associated with one of the largest banks in Switzerland

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Apache Spark and Scala

• Strong practical experience with Apache Spark

• Proven experience in tuning Spark performance

• Proficiency in debugging Spark jobs via Spark UI

• Solid understanding of Spark memory management and various Spark configurations

• Experience in using Scala to write Spark applications

• Strong hands-on experience with Scala

• Familiarity with BDD or TDD methodologies is a plus
