This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Alignment of opportunities to ensure that complexity guidelines and bid processes are consistently adhered to.
• Elimination of obstacles to sales throughout the opportunity, bid, and proposal landscape.
• Maintenance of a forecast pipeline for upcoming projects to highlight high-priority deals and identify times when additional resources may be required.
• Responsibility for line management of team members, overseeing their daily requirements, job development, and training for future growth.
• Coordination with sales, solution, and business stakeholders as necessary to ensure that Strada bids are thorough, complete, and optimize our win rate and revenue.
• Engagement in improvement projects to enhance future bid processes and governance.
• Provision of support for the Director – Bids & Proposals when required.
• Participation in ad hoc projects globally and across various sectors as necessary.
• Management of the bid management function.
• Collaboration with sales, solutions, and sales analytics to maintain a pipeline of current and upcoming opportunities at stages 1-2 with proposal and bid requirements.
• Analysis of the opportunity landscape by geography, solution line, or similar to identify potential opportunities.
• Ensuring that adequate pre-proposal work is performed on most proposals, identifying key customer needs, and integrating win themes into submitted content.
• Guaranteeing that bid opportunities comply with Strada’s qualification standards, playbook, and opportunity compliance milestones.
• Acting as a reviewer and quality assurance for proposals prior to submission, as well as a senior sponsor on bid and opportunity pursuits as needed.
• Ownership and presentation of opportunities to senior leadership or partners as necessary within Strada’s opportunity pursuit framework (in collaboration with the assigned bid manager).
• Ensuring that the bid management function has access to company-wide winning content, and extending this access to sales and solutions where feasible.
• Conducting win/loss debriefs on closed opportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Providing mentoring, leadership, and management.
• Line management of a team of Bid and Opportunity Managers, ensuring effective personnel administration and professional development are established.
• Mentoring junior team members (or overseeing mentoring) to ensure necessary support is available.
• Instilling a culture of professional development within the team, aligned with Global Bid Team and market best practice standards.
• Assisting the Director of Global Bids & Proposals in setting clear, achievable, and challenging goals within the bid and opportunity operations function.
• Supporting the Director of Global Bids & Proposals in identifying and managing the budget for bid and opportunity management resources, tools, systems, training, consultancy, travel, and development.
• Regularly reporting to Strada sales, solution, and business leadership on Opportunity Effectiveness, including Win/Loss rates and reasons, cost of sales/ROI, deal velocity, attainment of annual goals, revenue, and potential areas for process improvement.
• Developing and delivering training, both within the Global Bid Management team and to external stakeholders.
• Cultivating a culture of knowledge recycling, embedding Win/Loss, competitive, and landscape information into both pre- and post-bid processes.
• Maintaining a process library that outlines core bid and opportunity process documentation.
• Participating in the broader Sales Operations and Strada business improvement initiatives as required.
• Maintaining a portfolio of stakeholder engagement channels to ensure that Bid and Opportunity Management is integrated into the sales pipeline and broader Strada business operations.
• Serving as an escalation point within Bid Operations.
• Representing Strada externally at Customer and Partner meetings as necessary.
• Actively engaging with a network of Strada (and external) business stakeholders as required to assess the health and potential of Strada Proposals.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a Bid or Proposal Management role with a proven track record of success.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• APMP Practitioner (Capture) accreditation or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including delegation, conflict resolution, stakeholder engagement, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Proven experience in live opportunity environments (potentially including experience as a quota-carrying salesperson or similar role).
• Familiarity with an Opportunity Management system (such as Responsive, DigiWorkz, Highspot, or similar), CRM (Salesforce preferred), and reporting tools (PowerBI or Salesforce preferred).
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Outstanding presentation skills.
• Knowledge of international public bidding processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels of Strada and with external partners/customers as required.
