BI / Dashboard Developer – Federal Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create engaging dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that offer program leaders and Government stakeholders immediate insight into project performance, operational metrics, financial health, and implementation progress.

• Design, develop, and sustain interactive dashboards and business intelligence solutions utilizing Power BI, Tableau, or comparable visualization platforms.

• Generate reports that deliver real-time insights into project performance, operational metrics, financial information, and implementation status.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish reporting requirements, key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboard capabilities.

• Construct SQL queries, data models, and reporting datasets that support enterprise reporting initiatives.

• Ensure the accuracy of dashboards by validating data sources, business rules, and reporting calculations.

• Enhance dashboard performance and usability to elevate the end-user experience.

• Work with the Data / Reporting Architect to enforce enterprise reporting standards and best practices.

• Produce technical documentation, user manuals, and reporting specifications to facilitate dashboard maintenance.

• Assist in executive briefings by creating visual reporting products and presentation materials.

• Suggest ongoing improvements to enhance reporting automation, data visualization, and business intelligence functionalities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, or a relevant field.

• Five (5) years of experience in developing business intelligence dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.

• Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.

• Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases.

• Background in developing executive dashboards, scorecards, and operational reporting solutions.

• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and best practices in enterprise reporting.

• Preferred experience with Azure, AWS, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or comparable enterprise data platforms.

• Preferred experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management.

• Strong analytical abilities, communication skills, problem-solving capabilities, and customer service orientation.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance.
