Benefits Calculation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Calculate and encode offsets as well as adjusted Short Term Disability (STD) and Long Term Disability (LTD) benefits within the Navigator system.

• Provide plan members with clear verbal and written notifications regarding overpayment amounts.

• Follow up with plan members to facilitate the reimbursement of overpayments.

• Negotiate appropriate repayment plans when necessary.

• Manage claim recoveries using the Navigator system.

• Implement group disability contract provisions and evaluate the effects of various income sources on disability benefits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid understanding of group disability contract language and how different income sources influence disability benefits.

• Strong focus on customer service along with the capability to deliver challenging messages with empathy.

• Experience with calculations related to disability benefits.

• Excellent mathematical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply group insurance contracts.

• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.

• Willingness to learn from both successes and setbacks.

• Openness to change and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Bilingualism in English and French is an advantage; if located in Quebec, proficiency in both languages is mandatory.

• Familiarity with the Navigator system is a plus.
