This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Actively expand the patient base for the specialty pharmacy by identifying individuals eligible to utilize a Shields Partner Pharmacy.
• Conduct thorough investigations into patient benefits.
• Uphold the values of Shields by maintaining confidentiality of information.
• Execute benefits investigations efficiently.
• Leverage various approved tools to ascertain insurance coverage.
• Examine patients' medical records to understand their current medication regimen.
• Finalize benefits investigations using authorized Pharmacy Dispensing Systems.
• Clearly and succinctly document all results of the benefits investigation in the designated documentation tool.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a cohesive approach to high-quality patient care.
• Identify trends, troubleshoot issues, propose enhancements, and implement changes.
• 0-1 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Required Licensure/Certification: A national certification from PTCB or an equivalent is highly preferred but not mandatory. A state license is required.
• Must possess an active national pharmacy technician license.
• Must be willing to work an 8-hour shift scheduled between 8:00 am and 7:30 pm Mountain Time.
