
Behavioral Health Care Manager, California Licensed

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide direct patient care, approximately 75% of your time.
• Conduct intake assessments and ongoing follow-up sessions using telehealth.
• Implement brief, evidence-based interventions such as CBT skills, motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, and parent coaching.
• Offer in-session education along with actionable recommendations to families.
• Monitor patient progress utilizing validated screening tools.
• Engage in care coordination and clinical collaboration.
• Assist families with school accommodations, social determinants of health needs, and coordination with OT/PT/ST and other specialty services.
• Collaborate with pediatricians and psychiatric consultants.
• Participate in weekly registry review meetings to inform care decisions.
• Partner with board-certified pediatric psychiatrists who provide medication recommendations and oversee patient progress and care plans.
• Manage documentation and operational tasks.
• Record all care in our electronic health record (EHR) system, Healthie.
• Track outcomes and progress through structured workflows.
• Handle scheduling, follow-ups, and patient engagement.
• Implement standardized protocols for no-shows, cancellations, and safety.
• Must have active, unrestricted clinical licensure as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), and/or licensed therapist (LMFT).
• Licensure in California must be active on or before the start date.
• Additional licensure in states such as Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington is a plus.
• Prior experience working with children, adolescents, and families is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience or at least 3,000 supervised hours.
• Availability for flexible hours, including two evenings a week and 2-4 weekend days per month.
• Experience and training in evidence-based modalities including CBT, MI, BA, etc.
• Comfort with telehealth environments is essential.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills are necessary.
• Ability to provide care through a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and trauma-informed lens.
