BAS Technical Program Manager

📋 Description

• The BAS Technical Program Manager plays a crucial role in supporting DLB’s essential projects, primarily focusing on building automation systems (BAS), Power Management Systems (PMS), controls integration, and smart building technologies.

• This position offers technical and project leadership in the planning and design of BAS/PMS and integrated control systems, while also developing and maintaining DLB's controls standards.

• The BAS Technical Program Manager works in close collaboration with outsourced partners, MEP design engineers, construction contractors, equipment suppliers, software engineers, project managers, and client representatives to ensure that systems are designed, integrated, and delivered in accordance with project requirements and client expectations.

• This role operates with a significant degree of autonomy, receiving general direction for routine tasks and detailed guidance for new or complex assignments.

• The manager may act as a technical lead or primary point of contact for projects of moderate to complex scope, coordinating the efforts of other engineering and production personnel.

• The position requires communication and operations that are aligned with organizational goals, values, and departmental objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, construction, or related fields.

• At least 8 years of experience in BAS controls systems engineering.

• Familiarity with open-source protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP.

• Understanding of IoT and smart building solutions.

• Knowledge of standard data center control redundancy strategies.

• Awareness of materials, methods, and tools used in constructing mission-critical commercial buildings or other structures.

• Proficiency in using Revit and AutoCAD.

• Expertise in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams), with outstanding organizational skills for file management.

• Capability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and foster company-wide innovation.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a remote setting through excellent communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free environment.

• Competence in identifying and analyzing complex issues, assessing alternatives, and implementing effective solutions.

• Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms, capable of conveying technical and non-technical information.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, at times serving as the primary point of contact.

• Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
