Bankruptcy Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Attend hearings and/or prepare local appearance counsel with clear instructions regarding desired outcomes.

• Provide timely hearing results internally and to clients when requested.

• Review and sign pleadings prior to submission to clients and/or court.

• Monitor ECFs and dockets in real time, escalating actionable docket events as necessary.

• Confirm that internal and external systems are completed promptly and correctly.

• Ensure that staff have access to workable templates that comply with local, federal, district, and judge-specific regulations.

• Escalate, manage, and mitigate risk-related matters on files.

• Offer loan-level support to both firm staff and clients.

• Address inquiries and communicate promptly with staff and clients.

• Provide comprehensive guidance and thorough legal analysis.

• Assist staff in preparing pleadings and supply templates.

• Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for process enhancements.

• Stay informed on pertinent case law and developments in the bankruptcy code.

⛳️ Requirements

• Active bar admission in the state of employment, with a status of good standing.

• Admission to or the ability to gain admission to all bankruptcy courts within the state of active bar membership.

• Experience representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings in the jurisdiction of employment, or a willingness to acquire bankruptcy knowledge.

• Capability to collaborate with others in a friendly and team-oriented environment.

• Outstanding organizational skills.

• Proficiency in multi-tasking and adapting to ongoing changes.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
