This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +9 more states.
• Hearing Maintenance: Participating in hearings and/or coordinating local appearance counsel attendance ahead of the hearing with clear directives regarding the expected outcome.
• Delivering prompt hearing results both internally and to clients when requested.
• Portfolio Management: Reviewing and signing all pleadings promptly prior to submission to clients and/or the court to ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations.
• Monitoring ECFs and dockets in real-time and escalating any actionable docket events.
• Verifying that both internal and external systems (if applicable) are completed accurately and on time with information specific to the referral and case.
• Ensuring that staff have accessible templates that comply with local and federal procedural rules, as well as any district or judge-specific regulations.
• Promptly escalating, managing, and mitigating any identified risks associated with files in which the firm or a current client has an interest.
• Providing Loan Level Support to Firm Staff and Clients: Addressing inquiries and communicating generally in a timely manner with both firm staff and clients.
• Communication should encompass detailed guidance regarding necessary actions and present a thorough legal analysis of the current situation.
• Offering guidance to firm staff on the preparation of pleadings and/or supplying templates to aid in the process.
• Collaborating with leadership to pinpoint areas where processes can be enhanced.
• Research: Staying informed on relevant case law affecting your assigned jurisdictions as well as developments related to bankruptcy code or changes in case law.
• An active bar admission for the state where you were hired, holding a status of good standing.
• Admission or the capability to gain admission to all bankruptcy courts within the state where you have an active bar membership.
• Experience in representing creditors in bankruptcy proceedings within the jurisdiction where you were hired, or a willingness to acquire bankruptcy knowledge.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a friendly and team-oriented manner.
• Exceptional organizational abilities along with the capacity to juggle multiple tasks and adapt to ongoing changes.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
