Bahasa Indonesia Over the Phone Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver real-time telephonic interpretation from Bahasa Indonesia to English and vice versa for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings.

• Provide interpretation services with accuracy, neutrality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.

• Uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.

• Handle a mix of scheduled assignments as well as urgent and surge calls.

• Engage in training sessions, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess native or near-native proficiency in both Bahasa Indonesia and English.

• Have over 2 years of professional interpreting experience, preferably in immigration, legal, community, healthcare, or government settings.

• Demonstrate a solid understanding of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.

• Exhibit excellent telephone communication abilities and the capacity to maintain accuracy under pressure.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or a permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.
