Background Investigator – Independent Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough record searches.

• Perform in-person interviews to gather information about applicants.

• Collect factual data from personal and record sources to generate an investigative report.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be federally credentialed and possess experience as an investigator.

• A minimum of 12 months of continuous experience in executing executive branch investigations.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficient computer and typing skills for drafting narrative reports of investigation in FWS.

• Experience with PIPS or other federally supported case management/reporting systems.

• Adequate E&O liability, automobile insurance, and personal insurance required.

• All applicants must be U.S. citizens and must be eligible to obtain a TOP SECRET level security clearance.
