This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Create and execute dependable, efficient, and secure integrations utilizing PHP/Laravel or JS/Node.
• Enhance databases and queues while evaluating how infrastructure decisions impact throughput and reliability.
• Ensure comprehensive testing of projects and establish robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Articulate intricate technical concepts to clients and negotiate requirements, resources, timelines, and project scope.
• Offer technical guidance on Shopify integrations, middleware architecture, and design principles.
• Communicate the overall status of projects and proactively address challenges or uncertainties.
• Assist in developing timelines, grooming tasks, assigning work, and managing releases.
• Oversee team performance and recognize when team members require support.
• Facilitate collaborative problem-solving through paired programming and thorough code reviews.
• Support enterprise brands transitioning to Shopify and assess the suitability of off-the-shelf solutions versus custom builds.
• Proven backend Tech Lead with experience in delivering production-ready code within an agency setting.
• Familiarity with common enterprise systems such as ERP, OMS, IMS, PIM, and POS.
• Practical experience with order management lifecycles, product data models, data migrations, omni-channel strategies, and payment systems.
• Ability to determine the appropriateness of off-the-shelf solutions compared to custom options.
• Expertise in PHP/Laravel or JS/Node, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
• Proficient in command-line operations and comfortable with Linux-based operating systems.
• Experience in optimizing databases and queues.
• Proven capability to implement effective CI/CD pipelines.
• Background in data modeling, data mapping, and executing data migrations between systems.
• Strong understanding of the Shopify data model along with practical experience using Shopify APIs.
• Familiarity with other enterprise e-commerce systems is advantageous.
• Ability to collaboratively address challenges and share expertise.
• Experience with React is a plus, but not mandatory.
• People management experience is beneficial but not required.
• Must be able to work during U.S. Eastern Time Zone hours.
