Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bulgaria, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain backend software utilizing Python and cloud-native technologies

• Construct and engage with distributed architectures and service-oriented systems

• Create scalable, transaction-heavy payment systems

• Collaborate with Brite’s fintech products, payment infrastructure, and product ecosystem

• Enhance system performance at scale

• Contribute to engineering solutions and the overall work framework

• Partner with engineering teams and top-tier industry professionals

• Take part in the recruitment process, including team case discussions or live coding sessions

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in software development

• In-depth proficiency in Python

• Strong foundation in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure

• Comprehensive understanding of distributed architectures and service-oriented systems

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience with highly scalable, transaction-intensive systems

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Enthusiasm for optimizing performance at scale

• Security-aware mindset

• Familiarity with encryption methods and security best practices

• Technical proficiency in Python, FastAPI, Terraform, GCP Cloud Run, PubSub, Datastore, Cloud Scheduler, and BigQuery

• Desirable: experience in team leadership

• Desirable: experience with Open Banking, PSD2, and financial integrations

• Desirable: background in real-time payment solutions
