Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance the core platform, which includes the data model, APIs, and services.

• Design and develop backend systems that drive the portfolio intelligence layer.

• Execute data aggregation, scoring, and analysis on a large scale.

• Create and sustain integrations with customers' daily operational tools.

• Make architectural choices that facilitate company expansion.

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to swiftly transition from challenges to solutions.

• Employ agentic coding tools as an integral part of your daily development activities.

• Develop scalable systems and robust backend infrastructures for AI-powered features suitable for production.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Strong convictions regarding the construction of resilient systems.

• Capability to take ownership of issues from initial design to production.

• Ability to act swiftly without compromising quality.

• Proficient experience with data-intensive systems.

• Expertise in data modeling, querying, and optimization.

• Extensive use of AI tools within the development process.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to provide candid feedback.

• Capacity to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

• Experience with third-party platform integrations is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with large-scale multi-tenant SaaS is a significant plus.

• Background in developing data-driven insight features is a strong advantage.
