Backend Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee technical analysis and Spec-Driven Development

• Establish functional and technical specifications, including OpenAPI/Swagger, data models, and sequence/state diagrams

• Create documentation for Product stakeholders and technical teams

• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Frontend within autonomous squads

• Define endpoints and integration contracts

• Design and develop robust, low-latency, highly concurrent backend architectures

• Build and maintain event-driven architectures

• Integrate metrics, structured logging, and tracing from the design phase

• Convert business scenarios into Given-When-Then / Gherkin acceptance criteria

• Work closely with the Automation QA team

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering within complex and scalable backend environments

• Strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot

• Experience in distributed systems, asynchronous processing, and messaging/event-driven tools such as Kafka and RabbitMQ

• Capability to lead upfront technical design through detailed specifications, technical diagrams, and API definitions

• Keen interest in system telemetry, including metrics, logging, and tracing

• Proficient in troubleshooting production bottlenecks

• Ability to communicate technical decisions and architecture to non-technical stakeholders

• Skill in designing maintainable, long-term solutions

• Bonus: practical experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes

• Bonus: experience managing critical incidents and performing post-mortems
