Backend Integrations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain integrations between internal applications and external platforms.

• Create modular integration frameworks that ensure consistent usage across products.

• Collaborate with product and AI engineers to devise integration architectures that meet business requirements.

• Develop reusable SDKs and microservices for prevalent integration patterns.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for stable and scalable integration workflows.

• Monitor and resolve integration issues to guarantee uptime and optimal performance.

• Automate workflows to minimize manual data processing across various systems.

• Focus on security, authentication, and data integrity across applications.

• Identify potential improvements for integration speed, reliability, and maintainability.

• Deliver products from concept to launch with minimal supervision.

• Integrate AI functionalities that provide seamless user benefits and positively impact users and key performance indicators (KPIs).

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Integrations Engineer, Backend Developer, or Full Stack Engineer with a focus on API-based systems.

• Proficient in the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js.

• Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth, and general API communication protocols.

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Capability to quickly understand, interpret, and implement third-party API documentation.

• Experience integrating B2B SaaS tools such as Meta, ServiceNow, Clio, HubSpot, or healthcare APIs.

• Understanding of asynchronous data flows, error handling, and message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Proficient in using Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to building or integrating large-scale web platforms with knowledge of modern web technologies.

• Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.

• Experience with Cursor AI or rapid development tools is a plus.

• Python experience is preferred but not essential.
