Backend Integrations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between internal applications and external platforms.

• Develop modular integration frameworks to ensure consistent usage across products.

• Collaborate with product and AI engineers to create integration architectures that align with business requirements.

• Build reusable SDKs and microservices for commonly used integration patterns.

• Maintain documentation to support stable and scalable integration workflows.

• Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues to guarantee uptime and optimal performance.

• Automate workflows to minimize manual data processing across systems.

• Address security, authentication, and data consistency across various applications.

• Identify opportunities to enhance integration speed, reliability, and maintainability.

• Take products from concept to live implementation with minimal guidance.

• Deliver quickly while ensuring stability, scalability, and security.

• Integrate AI features that provide user value and significantly impact users and critical KPIs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Integrations Engineer, Backend Developer, or Full Stack Engineer with a focus on API-based systems.

• Proficiency in the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js.

• Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, webhooks, OAuth, and general API communication protocols.

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Python experience is preferred but not required.

• Ability to quickly understand, interpret, and implement third-party API documentation.

• Experience integrating B2B SaaS tools like Meta, ServiceNow, Clio, HubSpot, or healthcare APIs.

• Understanding of asynchronous data flows, error handling, and message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Exposure to building or integrating large-scale web platforms and familiarity with modern web technologies.

• Knowledge of PHP frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony.

• Experience with Cursor AI or rapid development tools.
