Backend Engineer, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.

📋 Description

• Familiarize yourself with Eneba's technology stack and comprehend how its services and systems interconnect.

• Engage in practical coding and implement security measures.

• Manage incident response and threat-hunting duties.

• Assess and categorize security submissions and incident reports.

• Analyze and address bug bounty reports, ensuring proper remediation is completed.

• Develop, manage, and enhance incident response and remediation protocols.

• Draft and uphold security policies and documentation.

• Convey security requirements and risks to non-technical teams.

• Examine application monitoring and logs to detect and investigate irregularities.

• Assist with access governance and permission management activities.

• Collaborate closely with backend engineering and other divisions to incorporate practical security requirements throughout the organization.

• Acquire knowledge and work with the company's backend technologies, languages, and systems as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong understanding of PHP.

• Knowledge of security principles or a demonstrated interest in security, such as participation in bug bounties, CTFs, security blogs, or engagement with the security community.

• Experience in IT, backend engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks without constant supervision.

• A proactive mindset and robust problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to learn and work across various systems, languages, and technologies.

• CV submitted in English.

• Preferred: experience with monitoring tools and application monitoring.

• Preferred: familiarity with the OWASP Top 10.
